**Note Change** Britton-Hecla Track will be going to Sisseton Legion Relays on Thursday, April 25th. Field events start at 11 am with running events at noon. We will not be going to Webster on Friday.
This week we will have a full 5 day week with no early dismissals! Please remember if you are not going to be in school to have a parent dismiss you. Parents please call the office at 448-2234 ext. 1 or email traci.malpert@k12.sd.us any time your student will not be in school or needs to leave early. You can also use the BH Office Contact tab on our website to report attendance. Students don't forget to check out with the office if you leave the building during the day. Every little bit of help with attendance is appreciated!
This Friday, April 26th there will be no Kindergarten classes as we host Kindergarten Round Up for our future Braves from 8:15-11:30.
ALA Poppy Posters are due April 26th!
The state testing schedule will be as follows:
3rd - 4th grade: April 23rd-25th
BH Youth Volleyball Camp: Wednesday nights in April----Grades 3-4th practice 6-7:00pm, Grades 5-6th practice 7-8pm ---- BH Arena ---- $40 / participant --- Come and Learn Volleyball Fundamentals!
5th Grade Wax Museum: Friday, May 3rd at 12:00 - 12:45 in the Arena. Parents, grandparents, and the community are invited to come browse the displays!
Drivers Education Sign up is now open. Drivers Ed classroom time is May 28th-31st, 8:00-4:00. Students must have completed the 8th grade. Tuition is $275.00 for in district students and $325.00 for out of district students. Sign up is first come first serve and payments for the class should be paid to the business office before class starts. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Jennifer Carlson the Drivers Ed Teacher. Our weight room is open to students Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday morning from 6:30 am - 7:15 am and after school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 3:20-4:00 pm. Students are not allowed in the weight room without supervision for safety reasons.
Our after school study hall is open 3:20-4:20 Monday - Friday for students 4th - 12th. After school study hall offers the opportunity to get help with homework assignments, it also provides a nice place and time to work on group projects. Students make sure your parents know if you plan to stay for after school study hall.
